This notice covers Hal's website — the pages at hal-ai.cloud. It does not cover the Hal product, which handles your customers' conversations and is a separate system with its own terms.

The short version

This site has no accounts, no sign-in and no forms. Nothing you do here is stored against your identity. If you decline analytics, nothing is stored on your device at all beyond the record of that choice.

What is collected

Server logs

Our web server records each request: your IP address, the time, the page requested, the response status, the page you came from, and your browser's user-agent string. This is ordinary web-server behaviour and is how the site is kept running and secure — it is what shows us an outage, a broken link, or an attack in progress.

These logs are not used to build a profile, are not linked to anything else, and are never sold or shared. They rotate automatically and are overwritten within days. Our legal basis is legitimate interest in operating and securing the site.

Analytics — only if you agree

With your consent we use Google Analytics (G-RNL7LEYDWK) to understand which pages are read and which are not. It records the pages you visit, roughly where you are (from your IP, at city-level accuracy), your device and browser, and how you arrived. It sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_RNL7LEYDWK.

Nothing is set until you choose. Until you press Accept, analytics storage is switched off, and if you press Decline it stays off.

One thing worth being straight about: the Google script is loaded on page view whether or not you have agreed, so Google's servers see your IP address before you choose. Without your consent it cannot set a cookie or identify you across visits, and it sends only an anonymous, cookie-less signal. If you would rather that did not happen at all, blocking googletagmanager.com in your browser prevents it, and the site works normally without it.

We do not run advertising here, and advertising signals are switched off permanently rather than being something you consent to — so this data is never used to target ads at you, on this site or anywhere else. Google processes it as our provider, on servers that may sit outside the EEA, under its standard contractual terms.

Your consent choice

Your answer is kept in your browser's local storage under hal.consent.v1. It is not a cookie and is never sent to us — it only stops the banner asking again. Clearing your browser data resets it.

What is not collected

  • No account, sign-in, or contact form on this site.
  • No advertising, ad profiling or cross-site tracking.
  • No third-party fonts, embeds, social widgets or share buttons — typefaces are served from our own server, so no font provider sees you.
  • No session recording, heatmaps or scroll tracking.
  • Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared for anyone else's use.

Changing your mind

Choose Cookie choices at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing is exactly as easy as agreeing, and takes effect immediately.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how it is used, or to receive a copy. Given how little this site collects, in practice that usually means server logs — and those are short-lived and hard to tie to a person. Ask anyway if you would like to; we will answer.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If this notice changes materially we will update the date below. There is no archive of previous versions — the site is small enough that the current text is the whole story.
